*Starting in January 2020, all club members will be covered for a supplemental Medical Accident insurance policy with coverage of $10k.
It's that time of year again! The club is selling the Attractions Dinging and Value Guide for 2021. Each book is packed with discounts for many local restaurants and attractions. The cost is $20 per book and you can easily get that back and more by using just 2 discount coupons.
This is one of the main fund raising efforts for the club each year. If each club member bought just one book, we would meet our goal. But many members sell the book to their friends and family.
In the past, we have sold the books at various Pickleball venues but with COVID-19, that will be limited. In order to make this easy for our members, we will sell the books on our club web site. You can order a book and pay for it. Then our volunteers will work to get the books to our members.

2021 ATTRACTIONS BOOK
The 2020 USA Pickleball Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament is being held in Myrtle Beach during Sept 24-27. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the tournament has been moved from indoor venue to outdoors at the Myrtle Beach Tennis Center. We are planning major changes to help mitigate the possible spread of COVID-19. The Check-in table will us plexiglass between players and volunteers. Players will be allowed to setup tents/chairs outside the venue in order to watch. There will be no spectators inside the tennis center.
We have added Tape Courts as a volunteer role which will happen on Thursday, prior to tournament start. We’ll need to tape 28 courts that day.
Many activities have been canceled; Wheelchair, Juniors, Player Social, Player Bags. Players will be asked to bring their own water, food, chairs/tents. Contact with volunteers will be limited and barriers used to maintain social distance. Masks will be worn by volunteers and encouraged for players when not playing. Using a different USAPA Sanction format, we will only referee medal matches and therefore need less referees.
Hand washing and sanitation stations setup in the area.
Due to these changes, we have eliminated certain volunteer positions. The areas we need volunteers are:
Check-in Desk - Done completely electronically and will be behind plexiglass partition.
Court Monitor - Be on court watching players. Buckets of ball cleaner scattered around for use by players. May help run Round Robin groups.
Referee - Be able to Referee matches. Referees will be paid based upon certification level. Minimum $5.
Setup/Tear Down - Will need some help in setup on Thursday 9/24 and tear down 9/27.
Tape Courts - Help tape courts on Thursday 9/24.
